Week Ending 22nd March – We Went a Bit Further This Week
Bit of a different week for us this one. Regular quiz nights and music bingo as usual, but Saturday we ended up in North Yorkshire doing two parties – which is a fair trek from Lancashire! Here’s how it went.
Our Weekly Quiz Nights
Wednesday: Quiz Night at Warton
Georgina hosted her usual Wednesday quiz at The Birley Arms in Warton. Good turnout as always.
Thursday: Speed Quiz at The Ship
Dan did his Thursday speed quiz at The Ship Inn in Freckleton. Same competitive bunch as every week!
Friday Night: Music Bingo at The Hob Inn
Friday was another music bingo session at The Hob Inn in Bamber Bridge. Good crowd, good atmosphere, everyone seemed to have a good night.
Saturday: North Yorkshire Road Trip
Esmee’s 4th Birthday in Catterick
Saturday morning we were up early and on the road to Catterick in North Yorkshire for Esmee’s 4th birthday. That’s a bit of a drive from Lancashire but the family specifically wanted us, so off we went.
Esmee’s party was lovely. Four-year-olds are a nice age – still excited about everything. We did musical chairs, musical statues, limbo, and our magic show. Esmee was a great little assistant. Balloon modelling, party games, medals and sweets handed out, then the usual conga line to finish. Esmee had a brilliant time.
Alfie’s 4th Birthday in Richmond
Straight from Catterick we headed to Richmond for Alfie’s 4th birthday. Two parties in North Yorkshire in one day – not something we do every week!
Another great party. Musical chairs, limbo, all the classic games. Alfie loved the magic show and his mates were really into it. Balloon modelling went down well, medals all round, conga line to finish. Job done, then it was the long drive back to Lancashire.
Sunday: Back on Home Turf
Jayden’s 6th Birthday in Thornton
Sunday we were back in Lancashire for Jayden’s 6th birthday in Thornton. Nice to be closer to home after Saturday’s travels!
Six-year-olds have proper energy and Jayden’s party didn’t disappoint. Musical chairs got competitive, limbo had some good moves, and Go Fetch was the usual chaos – kids absolutely love it. Magic show, party dances, medals and sweets, finished with the conga. Jayden and his mates had a great time.
Quiz Night at The Bell and Bottle, Kirkham
Rounded off the weekend with our Sunday night quiz at The Bell and Bottle in Kirkham. Numbers are building nicely each week. Pen and paper quiz with Open the Box and Play Your Cards Right. Good crowd, bit of banter, decent night.
Quite a Weekend!
Not every weekend sees us driving to North Yorkshire and back, but it’s always nice when families further afield want to book us. We covered a fair few miles between Catterick, Richmond, and Thornton, but three brilliant parties made it worth it.
