Another Brilliant Week Across Lancashire
What a week! From Dan spectacularly coming last in a quiz (yes, really), to a St Patrick’s Day themed music bingo, two brilliant birthday parties, and our regular quiz nights – we’ve been all over Lancashire. Here’s how it went.
Our Weekly Quiz Nights
Wednesday: Quiz Night at Warton – Dan Joins a Team!
For once, Dan wasn’t hosting on Wednesday – he actually joined a quiz team at The Birley Arms in Warton.
How did they do? Dead last. Absolutely bottom of the table. Turns out hosting quizzes doesn’t mean you’re any good at answering the questions! The team was in fits of laughter about it all night. Good fun though!
Thursday: Speed Quiz at The Ship
Thursday night, Dan was back on hosting duty at The Ship Inn in Freckleton for his speed quiz. Much better on this side of the quiz desk! Another great turnout with teams racing against the clock as usual.
Saturday’s Double Header
Crazy Music Bingo – St Patrick’s Day Theme at Grimsargh Club
Saturday kicked off with something a bit special – St Patrick’s Day themed music bingo at Grimsargh Club!
The place was buzzing with the St Patrick’s Day spirit. We had Irish music mixed in with all the usual classics, and the atmosphere was absolutely brilliant. The club was packed out and everyone was in great form – plenty of green being worn, plenty of banter, and some serious competition for the prizes.
Music bingo with a theme really takes it to another level. The Grimsargh crowd were fantastic and it was a proper fun night. These music bingo sessions across Lancashire are really becoming something special!
Hattie’s 5th Birthday at Catforth Village Hall
Saturday afternoon, we headed to Catforth Village Hall for Hattie’s 5th birthday party. Lovely venue with plenty of space for a room full of energetic 5-year-olds!
Hattie was so excited from the moment we arrived. Musical chairs got seriously competitive straight away – these kids don’t mess about! Limbo had everyone laughing and trying their best to get under without touching.
The magic show went down brilliantly and Hattie was a fantastic little assistant – she really got into it. We ran through all the classic party games, did balloon modelling which the kids loved, and handed out medals, sweets and bouncy balls throughout.
Finished with our signature giant conga line to the party food table. Hattie’s smile said it all – brilliant party at Catforth Village Hall!
Sunday’s Celebrations
Bobby’s 4th Birthday – Childrens Entertainer Lytham
Sunday took us to Lytham for Bobby’s 4th birthday party. As an experienced childrens entertainer in Lytham, we love working across the area and Bobby’s party was lovely.
Four-year-olds are such a great age – old enough to really get into the games but still with that innocent excitement about everything. Bobby was absolutely buzzing throughout.
Musical chairs had them all concentrating hard, musical statues got competitive (they take it very seriously!), and the limbo had some impressive moves for 4-year-olds. Our magic show was perfect for this age group and Bobby’s face during the tricks was priceless.
We did party dances which got everyone moving – heads shoulders “Beans on Toast” always goes down a storm with this age. Balloon modelling, medals, sweets, bouncy balls all round, then the classic conga line to finish.
Bobby had the best time – another brilliant party in Lytham!
Weekly Quiz at The Bell and Bottle Kirkham
Finished the weekend with our weekly Sunday night quiz at The Bell and Bottle in Kirkham. The numbers are growing nicely each week – word is getting around!
The pen and paper format with Open the Box and Play Your Cards Right is really working well. Good competitive atmosphere, lots of laughter, and everyone having a great time.
