Another Packed Week of Children’s Entertainment Across Lancashire
What a week this one! As childrens entertainers across Lancashire, we’ve been absolutely everywhere. Regular quizzes in Morecambe and Warton, music bingo at Bamber Bridge, three kids’ parties on Saturday spread across Walmer Bridge and Blackpool, plus a joint birthday celebration in Parbold on Sunday. Here’s how it all went.
Our Weekly Quiz Nights
Tuesday: The Station, Morecambe
Dan hosted his quiz at The Station on the Promenade in Morecambe. Same great crowd as always – the regulars know what they’re doing and the competition was fierce as ever.
Wednesday: Birley Arms, Warton
Georgina’s usual Wednesday quiz at The Birley Arms in Warton. The Wednesday night crowd are brilliant – they come prepared, they know all the answers (or think they do!), and the banter is always top notch.
Thursday: The Ship, Freckleton
Dan’s Thursday speed quiz at The Ship in Freckleton. These speed rounds get seriously competitive. You’ve got five seconds to answer – no time to think, just pure instinct. Some brilliant answers, some absolute howlers, and loads of laughter all round.
Friday Night: Music Bingo at The Hob, Bamber Bridge
Friday night was brilliant – packed music bingo at The Hob in Bamber Bridge!
The place was absolutely rammed from the moment we started. Everyone was up for it – families, mates, couples all there for a night out. Music bingo is always brilliant because you get everyone singing along whether they want to or not! Someone would shout “Got it!” and the whole room would erupt. The prizes were decent too so the competition was proper fierce.
Great crowd, brilliant atmosphere, everyone singing along. These Friday nights are becoming a proper fixture at The Hob and it’s easy to see why!
Saturday: Three Party Whirlwind – Childrens Entertainer Blackpool and Walmer Bridge!
Archie’s 7th Birthday – Walmer Bridge
Saturday morning we were at Walmer Bridge for Archie’s 7th birthday party.
Seven-year-olds are full of energy and Archie’s mates were absolutely buzzing! We kicked off with musical chairs and straight away you could see the competitive spirit – every child was determined to win. The music stops, they scramble for a seat, and there’s always that one who’s so close to getting one but just misses it. Brilliant fun.
Limbo came next and some of these kids can get SERIOUSLY low without even touching the stick. We had a few impressive moves and loads of laughter. Then our magic show – Archie was a brilliant assistant and when Dan pulled off the first trick, his eyes went massive. He was completely into it.
We did relay races which had them all fired up, party games where everyone was cheering for their mates, balloon modelling where each kid got to choose their own animal. Archie picked a sword and was swinging it around like he’d actually won something at a fair!
Medals for everyone – and you’d think we’d given them Olympic gold the way they wore those around their necks! Then the usual giant conga line to the food table with everyone dancing and laughing.
Brilliant party in Walmer Bridge!
Sofia’s 6th Birthday – Mayfield Community Centre, Blackpool
George headed out on her own to Mayfield Community Centre in Blackpool for Sofia’s 6th birthday party – childrens entertainer Blackpool in action!
Sofia’s 6th birthday was brilliant. Six-year-olds have that sweet spot where they’re old enough to really get into the games but still young enough to be excited about everything.
We started with musical statues – Sofia was absolutely concentrating hard, trying not to move a muscle when the music stopped. Some of the poses kids get into when they’re trying not to move are hilarious. Musical chairs got competitive, limbo had some great moves, and when the magic show started, Sofia loved being part of it all.
The party games flew by – relay races, team challenges, everyone cheering each other on. George did balloon modelling and Sofia chose a beautiful butterfly. She was made up with it!
Party dances had everyone moving, medals all round, and that classic conga line to finish. Sofia had a fantastic time!
Great party in Blackpool with George holding the fort solo!
Violet’s 6th Birthday – Division Lane Sports Village, Blackpool
Meanwhile, Dan and George were running outdoor races for Violet’s 6th birthday party at Division Lane Sports Village in Blackpool – outdoor birthday parties in Blackpool done right!
Outdoor races are brilliant when the weather’s good – kids get to run around properly and burn off all that energy. The sports village gave us loads of space which is perfect for this.
We started with relay races – absolute chaos in the best way! Teams passing the baton, kids sprinting like they’re in the Olympics, everyone cheering madly for their teammates. You get some seriously competitive moments and loads of laughter when someone does something unexpected.
Then egg and spoon races – classic and brilliant. Watching six-year-olds trying to hold an egg on a spoon while running is comedy gold. Some concentrate so hard they slow right down, others go for speed and lose the egg halfway. Either way, everyone’s laughing.
Sack races – kids jumping around in sacks, falling over, getting back up. Absolute chaos. Three-legged races with mates tied together – some coordination, some just chaos! The whole thing was one long laugh.
We finished with a massive tug of war which had everyone cheering from the sidelines. Violet had an absolutely amazing time at the sports village and you could see why – outdoor races just hit different. Kids burning off energy, doing something active, competitive but fun, loads of space, proper summer vibes.
Violet was beaming all afternoon!
Sunday: Joint Birthday in Parbold – Childrens Entertainer Serving the Area!
Frankie and Charlotte’s Joint 6th Birthday – Parbold
Sunday morning we were in Parbold for Frankie and Charlotte’s joint 6th birthday party – as childrens entertainers in Parbold, this was a special one!
Joint birthday parties are always brilliant – double the fun, double the excitement. Both girls got to be the stars, all their mates there together, and there’s something special about two kids celebrating together.
We kicked off with musical chairs and straight away Frankie and Charlotte were cheering each other on – best mates looking out for each other even when they’re competing. Musical statues had them trying not to giggle when the music stopped. Limbo was fun, everyone wanted a turn.
The magic show was brilliant – both Frankie and Charlotte got to be magic assistants at different points which made them both feel extra special. Their friends were loving it, shouting out when tricks happened, genuinely amazed.
We ran relay races and team challenges – the girls were working together which was lovely to see. Party games, balloon modelling (both girls got crowns which they absolutely loved wearing!), party dances where everyone was jumping about and singing.
The conga line was brilliant – all the kids, both birthday girls leading the way, dancing to the food table. You could see how happy they were having their joint party with all their mates there.
Two happy birthday girls is always the best result!
