Back From Scotland and Straight Into Action!
We’ve just had one of those weeks that reminds us why we love this job. After 10 days boating in Scotland – which was absolutely brilliant by the way – we drove 11 hours back from Inverness on Friday. Most people would crash. We had 7 parties to deliver across Saturday and Sunday!
Saturday was a proper whirlwind with 3 parties across Lytham, Manchester, and Staining. Sunday was absolutely rammed with 4 more parties spread across Poulton, Hambleton, and Lancaster (twice!). And the best bit? We got some brilliant Google reviews from this weekend’s families. Here’s how it all went.
Saturday: Three-Party Marathon
Poppy and Delilah’s Joint 6th Birthday – Lytham Cricket Club
Saturday morning kicked off with Poppy and Delilah’s joint 6th birthday party at Lytham Cricket Club!
Joint 6th birthday parties are brilliant – double the fun, double the celebration. Lytham Cricket Club is always a great venue and the booking was smooth – Zoe even added extra time on for balloon modelling which the kids absolutely loved.
We started with musical chairs which had the energy bouncing off the walls. Six-year-olds are competitive! Limbo followed with some seriously impressive moves, then the magic show had them all hooked. Dan created a fun party atmosphere that wasn’t too wild – that balance is tricky with this age group but it works brilliantly.
Party games flew by, dancing had everyone moving, and the balloon models were a massive hit. The conga line to the food table was brilliant – kids from all ages getting involved.

The booking process was really simple and I was able to add some time on in order to have the balloon models made which the children absolutely loved! Dan was wonderful with the children, knowing how to create a fun party atmosphere without it getting too wild. He had such a range of activities up his sleeve from games to congas to dancing to a magic show which had them all hooked! He knew how to draw the children in and put everyone at ease. It made the whole party experience really smooth and stress-free and we’ve had great feedback from parents. We would 100% recommend Music and Mayhem for parties of any age. Arthur’s 5th Birthday – Urmston, Manchester
Straight from Lytham, Georgina headed out on her own to Urmston in Manchester for Arthur’s 5th birthday party – flying solo and absolutely smashing it!
Five-year-olds are full of energy and Arthur’s party was no exception. Musical chairs got seriously competitive, musical statues had them concentrating hard, and when the magic show started, Arthur was absolutely mesmerized.
All the classic party games, relay races that had the kids sprinting, balloon modelling with Arthur choosing his favourite animal. Party dances got everyone moving, medals all round, and that classic conga line to finish.
Arthur had a fantastic 5th birthday and Georgina handled the whole thing brilliantly!
Adam and Olivia’s Wedding Reception – The Glasshouse, Staining
Saturday night, Dan was at The Glasshouse in Staining for Adam and Olivia’s wedding reception – not just DJing but also running a quiz!
Weddings are different from kids’ parties but we treat them with the same energy and professionalism. Dan kept the dance floor buzzing with brilliant music all night, then ran a fun quiz that had everyone engaged and laughing.

Sunday: Four-Party Sunday!
Neela’s 6th Birthday – The Space, Poulton
Sunday morning started with Neela’s 6th birthday party at The Space in Poulton!
The Space is a brilliant venue for kids’ parties – loads of room for running around and having fun. Neela’s party was brilliant and here’s what her mum said:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “We hired Music and Mayhem for our daughter’s 6th birthday party and he was absolutely fantastic. He was kind enough to accommodate us at short notice despite already being booked up, which we really appreciated. He kept all the children entertained from start to finish – he played pass the parcel, a magic show, limbo and so many other fun games. He involved all the kids so none of them felt left out. The kids loved every minute and was also a hit with the parents! We would 100% hire him again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.” – Nayla Goodwin
That one really got us – accommodating short notice bookings even when fully booked is what good service looks like. Neela’s party had pass the parcel, magic show, limbo, loads of games. Everyone felt included and the parents loved it too!
Arthur’s 5th Birthday – Hambleton Village Hall
George headed to Hambleton Village Hall for another Arthur’s 5th birthday party!
Another 5-year-old, another brilliant party. Musical chairs, limbo, magic show – Arthur (this one!) was a brilliant little assistant. Party games, balloon modelling, medals and treats all round. Giant conga line to finish.
Arthur had a fantastic time!
Matilda’s 6th Birthday – Skirton Liberal Club, Lancaster
Meanwhile, Dan dashed to Lancaster for Matilda’s 6th birthday party at Skirton Liberal Club!

Paul’s 7th Birthday – Christ Church, Lancaster
Then Dan dashed to Christ Church in Lancaster for Paul’s 7th birthday party!
Seven-year-olds bring serious energy and Paul’s mates were absolutely buzzing! All the high-energy games, magic show where Paul was a brilliant assistant, relay races, party dances, balloon modelling.
