Quiz Nights, Minecraft Madness & Birthday Fun – We’re Fully Back in Action!
After easing back into January last week, this week ramped up properly! Packed quiz nights, a 3rd birthday party, an epic Minecraft-themed 7th birthday, and a 5th birthday celebration – Music & Mayhem is firing on all cylinders for 2025! Here’s our weekly roundup.

Wednesday: Packed to the Rafters at The Birley 🧠
Wednesday night saw George’s weekly quiz at The Birley Arms in Warton – and it was absolutely packed to the rafters!
Seriously, we’re talking standing room only! The quiz nights are back with a vengeance this year. Teams squeezed in, answers flying, friendly arguments over correct answers – this is what Wednesday nights are all about! The Birley was buzzing with energy. Our regular quiz crowd clearly missed it over Christmas! 🎯
Thursday: 26 Teams at The Ship! ⚡
Thursday brought Dan’s speed quiz at The Ship in Freckleton – with an incredible 26 teams battling it out!
Twenty-six teams! That’s one of our biggest turnouts ever at The Ship! The competitive energy was off the charts as teams raced against the clock. Speed quiz nights are becoming absolutely legendary in Freckleton – and with good reason. Fast-paced, exciting, and proper good fun! ⚡
🎂 Saturday: Birthday Party Double Header!
Saturday was brilliant with TWO birthday parties – one tiny tot celebration and one epic Minecraft extravaganza!
Ellie’s 3rd Birthday 🎈
First up was Ellie’s 3rd birthday with all her friends and family! Dan entertained everyone for an hour of pure fun.
Ellie had a brilliant time – and keeping a room full of toddlers, older kids, AND adults all entertained together? That takes 25+ years of experience! 💙
Oliver’s 7th Birthday – MINECRAFT THEME! 🎮⛏️
Then it was time for Oliver’s 7th birthday with a full Minecraft theme – and this was EPIC!
Minecraft-themed parties are brilliant because kids are OBSESSED with the game. Oliver wanted everything Minecraft, and we delivered!
The Minecraft madness included:
🎵 Steve’s Lava Chicken – This song is an absolute banger with Minecraft fans! The kids went wild!
🔥 Lava Spots Game – Don’t touch the lava! Jump from spot to spot or you’re out! The kids were leaping around like proper Minecraft characters!
💎 Diamond Relay – Teams racing to collect diamonds (okay, they were actually prizes, but we called them diamonds!). The competitive energy was brilliant!
🎮 Loads of silly Minecraft-themed games – We adapted our classic party games with Minecraft twists. Creeper tag, building challenges, mining races – the kids absolutely loved it!
⛏️ HUGE Minecraft Piñata – The grand finale! A proper Minecraft-themed piñata that took some serious whacking to break open. When it finally smashed, sweets everywhere – chaos and joy!
🕺 Lots of fun games and dancing – Between the themed games, we had music pumping and kids dancing. Seven-year-olds LOVE to dance!
Oliver had a great time and Minecraft parties hit differently – the kids are so engaged because it’s their absolute favourite thing. When you nail a themed party, the energy is unbeatable! 🎊
🎉 Sunday: Carter’s 5th Birthday in Preston
Sunday brought Dan and George to Preston for Carter’s 5th birthday party!
Five-year-olds are a brilliant age – they’re past the toddler stage, they understand all the game rules, they’re competitive enough to make it exciting, and they still have that pure, unfiltered joy about everything!
Carter and his friends had a fantastic time with our full party package. Games, music, dancing, prizes, magic – the complete Music & Mayhem experience! Another happy birthday boy, another room full of smiling faces. That’s what we do! 💙
